BOSTON AUTHOR RECALLS CLEVELAND
Finding My Place: One Man's Journey from Cleveland to Boston and Beyond by Judah Leblang is a collection of essays by the Boston-based storyteller, who grew up in Beachwood in the 1960s. In candid, natural style, Leblang reminisces about his love for the Indians, agricultural festivals and taking the rapid transit into downtown Cleveland to shop with his grandmother.
Leblang's story of his longtime relationship with his family's cleaning lady, whom he called his godmother, is deeply moving, and there is humor in his account of visiting Provincetown, Mass., where he hopes to attract a man but is not assertive enough to approach one himself.
